SPITFIRE 4
La Triumph Spitfire 4 è una spider due posti con carrozzeria monoscocca e telaio separati ed imbullonati. Le sospensioni anteriori sono a trapezi oscillanti con molle e ammortizzatori coassiali. Retrotreno, a ruote indipendenti, con balestra trasversale, bracci longitudinali e semiassi oscillanti. Il propulsore è un 1.147 cc in linea ad aste e bilancieri con 63 CV. Cambio a 4 marce (prima non sincronizzata) + retromarcia, ed overdrive su III e IV marcia (optional). Fu disegnata dall’italiano Giovanni Michelotti nel 1960 e venne presentata al mercato nel 1962 al London Earls Court Motor Show nell’autunno del 1962. Prodotta da Ottobre 1962 a Dicembre 1964 in 45.753 esemplari.
